Love of the country persuaded Alexandra and Simon to renovate a charming Georgian farmhouse in Hampshire. The charming Georgian façade of this one-time hunting lodge was full of potential, and instantly appealed to Alex, who is an experienced interior designer. Previously it had been a working farm with the result that past design decisions had been taken for purely pragmatic reasons rather than aesthetic considerations. Alex was determined to restore all the house’s original graceful features, especially the fireplaces, panelling, old doors and coving which had been lost or modernised.
